Returns the current protocol being used by the GPS Toolkit
Return Value
The return value is the current GPSPROTOCOL in use by the Toolkit. Note that this is not necessarily the same as the protocol in use by the receiver. If the two are mismatched, no valid data will be parsed by the Toolkit.
