Autodetect

Autodetect is an automatic method by which the GPS Toolkit can discover the type of GPS receiver and where it is connected. This is useful when you are unsure as to the communications port, baud rate, or protocol of your GPS receiver.

Remarks

Autodetect is enabled by default, but can be enabled or disabled using GpsEnableAutoDetect.
The functions GpsInitialize, GpsSetPort and GpsSetProtocol are used to initialize an autodetect operation.
The notifications , GPSNOTIFY_DETECT_COMPLETE and GPSNOTIFY_DETECTING_PROTOCOL will report the status of an autodetect operation.
