NEW YORK and NORWALK, Conn., Sept. 9, 2004 -- SiVault Systems Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SVTL), a leading provider of products and services to implement secure storage and retrieval of signed documents and signature-based authentication for processing of on-line transactions, said it signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire Links Point Inc. (LinksPoint). The parties contemplate an exchange of restricted common stock and the terms and conditions of the share purchase agreement are subject to approval of both boards of directors.

The proposed terms were not announced and are subject to further negotiation and the completion of due diligence. There can be no assurance a final agreement will be reached.

LinksPoint provides Location Powered Solutions(TM) built around three enabling technologies -- Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Mobile Computing. LinksPoint gives enterprise customers unprecedented control over mobile operations through its solutions for vehicle tracking, navigation and field data collection.

LinksPoint's products are used by organizations in distribution, transportation, utilities and government. LinksPoint also makes specialized GPS receivers for the two leading rugged handheld mobile computer manufacturers. The Company's products are sold by a network of mobile computing technology providers that integrate LinksPoint's GPS technology to add industry-leading location capabilities to their mobile solutions.

The market for GPS technology will reach $22 billion worldwide in 2008, according to ABI, a New York-based technology market research firm.

Emilian Elefteratos, Chief Executive Officer and President of SiVault Systems, said, "The addition of LinksPoint's leading-edge location-powered technologies will vastly expand SiVault Systems' ability to provide a total solution for mobile operations in a wide range of sectors from distribution and transportation to government services -- offering high-value non-repudiation capabilities as well as tracking, navigation and field data collection."

"Much of the real value of GPS for enterprises stems from the geographic verification of worker activity and transactions," said Strite H. Potter, LinksPoint's President. "Combining SiVault Systems' authentication services and LinksPoint's location-powered technologies creates a unique and powerful platform for enterprise customers to gain even greater control and security over their operations in the field.
